Muscle Testing (Applied Kinesiology)

Service Description

Muscle testing is a diagnostic tool that uses the body’s own nervous system — a form of biofeedback — to uncover root problems. The human body knows what is wrong with it, but unfortunately it cannot give you a sticky note of what is not working correctly. It can, however, communicate through the turning on or off of muscles. The first step in understanding muscle testing is, when the body is in balance it will give a strong muscle response; when the body is unbalanced, the response will be weakened. Additionally, when we agree with something subconsciously our muscle strength is strong and confident. When we disagree with something subconsciously it will produce a weakened response. Muscle testing is like the bridge between the conscious and subconscious mind. It helps to bypass the critical thinking part of the brain and we are able to get past “stuck thinking” and go deep into “innerstanding”. During your appointment we muscle test to address specific concerns- for example- if a muscle weakens when testing for thyroid function, that is the body giving us a clue! Think of muscle testing like detective work, uncovering root causes one at a time. Once we are able to pinpoint the areas/organs that need support, we no longer have to guess. We know where to start! Your appointment includes a follow-up email with our findings and a 30 minute phone call to review.
